Development
|
We are keen that Groups and Districts have templates available for areas such as development rather than having to think up what should be used to help draw up a development plan.
Below is a template that can be used for development planning in your Group or District.

Local Development Officer
|
The County have appointed Jo Millard as our Local Development Officer (LDO) and some of her tasks include recruiting adults for both uniformed and non uniformed roles.
In 2007 all District Commissioners were asked to submit their priorities for their Districts and Groups and these were then put into a County priority order by a project team.
From September, until the end of the year, Jo will be working with Biggleswade & Sommeries Districts. If you would like to put in a bid to have some of the LDO resource, please complete the attached form and send it to your District Commissioner. They will in turn submit it to the project board to consider all requests and hopefully allocate some resources to it. In the near future, the work plan for the LDO will be published on the website.
There is a presentation on the role of the LDO. If you have not seen it and would like to, please feel free to contact Nigel and he will endeavour to get one of the project team to attend a meeting and talk through the presentation.
Below you will find a template for a bid for LDO resources, this form can be used by both Groups and Districts.

Recruitment
|
One of Nigel's aims is to ensure there are materials available on this website for Groups and Districts to use rather than have to draw up and design their own leaflets and posters etc when looking at recruitment of young people or adults.
A list of current adult vacancies can be viewed by clicking on the Adult Vacancies link on the left.
In order to achieve this, below you will find:
A poster that is designed for adult recruitment.
A PDF document pertaining to places where you may be able to put an advert for recruiting adults
A link to the Making the Most of Promotional Posters & Postcards Factsheet (No. 310561) on the Scoutbase web site: Click Here

County Strategic Plan
|
The strategic development plan looks to identify National and local initiatives which support the key priorities of the county and to link these to the Associations Strategy ‘Towards 2012’.
It is designed to provide a common framework for the County and District teams to focus resource and identify opportunities for mutually beneficial activities across both County and District Borders.
It also looks to provide a clear statement of plans and priorities which can be used with external media and organisations that are being approached for sponsorship.
Districts may wish to use the framework for targeting specific areas of opportunity or need.
