Welcome to the Adult Activity Training page where you will find a wealth of information about Activity Permits, Nights Away Permits and other activity/skills days being offered in Bedfordshire.

 

SKILLS DAY - 8th April, 2018  0930 - 1600 at Leslie Sell Activity Centre, Bromham.  With the success of the 2017 Skills Day we are now offering this very interesting day for 2018.  We have taken on board the feedback from this year and will be offering more skill bases for Beavers and Cubs in 2018 as well as a wealth of other interesting skills for Leaders and Supporters to pass onto their young people.

The usual fun skills will also be available including backwood cooking (lunch), fire lighting, knife and axe, bushcraft, camping skills, tilley lamps, stoves, knotting, and Tomahawk Throwing to name but a few.  Just as exciting, during this day you will be able to try some of the activities provided by LSAC Bromham including the  caving complex, shooting, archery, activity course and climbing.

This skills day is designed to give leaders, supporters and young leaders  an insight into the many skills that are available to teach young people on their journey through scouting,  in line with the new programme and to experience first hand, some of the great activities available to you at LSAC Bromham.  To book a place for the day please go to the Adult Training Booking section.  WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU

ACTIVITY PERMITS - If you are interested in obtaining an activity permit for narrowboating, archery, shooting, water activities, etc look out for the invitation emails or contact Rita Lewis at the County Office for more information - bedscouts@btconnect.com

NIGHTS AWAY PERMITS -  If you would like to obrtain your Nights Away Permit to enable you to take the young people on a residential experience, the Training Team are holding a Mod 38 Skills for a Residential Experience, weekend on the  6th, 7th and 8th October 2017. With the next one planned for 5th, 6th and 7th October 2018

So if you would like to find out all there is to know about taking young people camping please book your place as soon as possible, with only one being held each year places will fill up quickly.
