As a County, we feel that it is really important to support and encourage the growth and development of scouting across Bedfordshire. This grant scheme is one way we can do this.
Subject to prior approval, Bedfordshire County Scout Council will augment the financial support offered by HQ and the authorizing District by
· awarding a grant of £300 towards the formation of each new Section.
· awarding a grant of £1,000 towards the formation of each new Scout Group opened within the County.
· retrospectively rebating the first year’s County membership.
This support is subject to the establishment of a permanent Group Executive Committee and a Leadership Team.
If this new entity should close within twelve months of opening, the above grants are to be refunded in their entirety to the County.
